“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

We provide food parcels to those in crisis and facing empty cupboards. Sadly need is increasing in our area.

We are hugely appreciative of food donations given by our supporters. Sometimes though need exceeds donations and then we need to buy food.

East Yorkshire Foodbank covers the entire county of the East Riding. We are committed to equally helping those facing rural poverty as those living in the towns. Local people helping local people is fundamental to our charity.
